Change Your Life in 30 Days
Rhonda Britten gave a mini-workshop based on her book "Change Your Life in 30 Days" last night at Transitions Bookplace.
She is the founder of the Fearless Living Institute—featuring the world's premiere life and career coach training program—and a Life Coach on the Emmy Award–winning daytime reality drama, Starting Over.
She is a very dynamic speaker, a former actress, and the crowd of about 100 people were glued to her every word.
Some of the more memorable things I heard her say were; "You can build confidence only when you take risks." "Procrastination is not taking responsibility for your life. " In Summary - she said that every thought, word and action is a reflection of our stance, whether or not we are taking responsibility for our own life. Everything is interwoven…so saying I don’t feel like cleaning up that drawer, or my closet…I don’t feel like cleaning the kitchen, making those calls, paying my bills…it is all linked…all of life is connected. You don’t have a problem with procrastination, you have a problem taking responsibility for your own life and proving you are worth it.
Everytime you say “I am lazy.” You are anchoring the belief that you aren’t worth it. In her book “Change Your Life in 30 Days” it is about wanting to face yourself everyday and what you are up to. The book is about how you are going to change yourself, how to quit labeling yourself with language that doesn’t support YOU. She points out that you must be WILLING to look into how you are not supporting yourself, look into it. Because she says if you are more determined to prove you have a problem, than you are willing to be interested in changing, nobody can help you.
